trains & planes

Finding ways of getting around a place you have never been is a tricky business. How do you know you're getting a good deal or traveling to the right station? As you can imagine, this brought sooooo much stress to our planning. Luckily we found two websites to guide us through our confusion.

The first website, and most frequently visited, compares fares and time spent traveling by train, car, and airplane. GoEuro was our answer to most of our questions. You type in where and when you plan to go and where you're coming from and it gives you many company, time, and price options. This website helped us find the cheapest and most functional way to travel from one destination to the next!

When planning our visit to Italy, we considered Cinque Terre a must-see! Thanks to ItaliaRail, we found a way to take a day trip from Florence to the coastal city of Manarola by train. This Italian based website was the only resource we came across that gave us early and late trains that didn't cost an arm and a leg.

We are crossing our fingers for as few missed trains and travel mishaps as possible. Hopefully early planning will treat us right.
Expect to see reviews and tips regarding our inter-European travels.
